About me
I'm Carla Kay, mom of two, prenatal and postpartum coach, construction business owner, and president of the La Femme d'Abord Foundation.
Like many moms, after my second pregnancy I was left with abdominal diastasis, a belly that stayed swollen despite training, and a painful umbilical hernia. I quickly realized traditional exercises weren't built for what the postpartum body actually needs.
So I spent years learning how the core, breathing, pelvic floor, and abdominal pressure management really work. By applying my method, I was able to naturally close my diastasis recti.
That experience completely changed my life and became my mission.
Today, I help women rebuild a stronger belly, a functional core, and confidence in their bodies through a simple, progressive, and safe method, done from home in just 9 minutes a day.

My mission
Take back control of your body
I want every woman to know it's never too late to take back control of her body. Whether you're a few weeks, a few years, or even decades postpartum, you deserve access to a method built for your body.
My goal is to make this expertise accessible to every mom, so she can rebuild her belly without surgery, reduce diastasis-related symptoms, and regain confidence, without spending hours training.
Diastasis, explained
A separation of the rectus muscles along the midline that affects 6 in 10 women after pregnancy.

Frequently asked questions
Diastasis recti is a separation of the abdominal muscles that often occurs during pregnancy. If you still have a belly that sticks out after baby, a feeling of core weakness or a dome that appears when you sit up, you may have a diastasis. We've prepared a tutorial to help you measure your diastasis and determine the width of your abdominal gap.
Yes. About 60% of women have abdominal diastasis after pregnancy.
The most common signs are:
• A belly that sticks out or stays bloated.
• A bulge in the center of the abdomen during exertion.
• A feeling of core weakness.
• Back pain.
• Pelvic floor pressure or weakness.
Every woman is different. Some may have a diastasis without all of these symptoms.
Your program depends mainly on the width of your diastasis.
Step 1: diastasis of 3 cm and more
Step 2: diastasis of 2 cm and less
Step 3: diastasis of 2 cm and less
Step 4: weight-loss program to follow after closing your diastasis
